JKT48 won't participate on AKB48 World Senbatsu Sousenkyo

As reported previously, this year AKB48 will be holding a different 'Senbatsu Sousenkyo' from 'AKB48 53rd Single Sekai Senbatsu Sousenkyo [AKB48 53rd シ ン グ ル 世界 選 抜 総 選 挙]' to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 'Senbatsu Sousenkyo' event.

In 'AKB48 53rd Single Sekai Senbatsu Sousenkyo', AKB48's overseas sister group members like JKT48 [Jakarta, Indonesia], BNK48 [Bangkok, Thailand] and TPE48 [Taipe, Taiwan] can also run in the Sousenkyo event this time.

However, through AKB48's official website, it was announced that JKT48 members will not participate in 'AKB48 53rd Single Sekai Senbatsu Sousenkyo'.

Regarding the reason, it is explained that the event announcement of the final result to be held on June 16, 2018 coincides with the holiday of Eid Mubarak 1439 H in Indonesia.
