On May 30, 2018, AKB48 officially released their 52nd single group entitled 'Teacher Teacher'.
On the first day of the release, the single has sold 1,591,164 copies and topped the Oricon daily singles chart.
The first day sales of the single 'Teacher Teacher' became the highest selling on AKB48's first single day and became a new record beating the highest total sales of the previous single, the 40th single AKB48 'Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai [僕 た ち は 戦 わ な い]' which sold over 1,472,375 copies.
In addition, for the Japanese version of Billboard, the single 'Teacher Teacher' sold over 2 million 2,580,513 copies on the first day of sales.
